Crayon melting art

Today I finally forced myself to finish the melted-crayon-artwork that I have had in mind for months. It wasn't as easy as it looks (YouTube) but I managed quite well and am happy with the result. :)

Glued the crayons to the canvas with allround adhesive. The elephant silhouette is drawn a Stabilo OHPen universal (permanent).

To melt the crayons I used a hair dryer with full heat on. I did this on the balcony so that the smell of melting crayons wouldn't be everywhere. The melted crayon splattered a little from the edges so I covered the floor and the wall the canvas leaned against with papers.

The result! Awesome rainbow rain! I already received an order to make one of these to a friend. Christmas present idea, check! ;)
